About Me
My journey into complementary holistic therapies and creating Soul Sense developed following a lifelong career in conventional medicine, working in both NHS and private healthcare as a HCPC registered Radiographer and Sonographer.
My career began four decades ago, specialising in medical diagnostic ultrasound, with subspecialities in woman’s health and wellbeing in the dedicated fields of obstetrics, gynaecology and fertility as well as clinical education and general medicine.
Working with multiple disciplines in secondary care in busy university teaching hospitals, as well as community settings in primary care as a professional lead Sonographer and experienced advanced practitioner and clinical tutor.
My journey into holistic therapies began with my own personal experience of Reiki. The profound sense of inner calm and balance led me to discover a range of complementary holistic therapies. I soon realised that whilst conventional medicine excels at diagnosing and treating illness, holistic therapies support the body's natural ability to restore and balance and create homeostasis.
This led me to train in a variety of holistic therapies, whilst applying my wealth of clinical knowledge to everything I learned. When practicing clinical reflexology, I use my knowledge and experience of anatomy and physiology to understand exactly how this ancient practice supports the body's systems. My Aromareflex treatments combine traditional reflexology with carefully selected essential oils, creating bespoke blends based on each client's specific needs.
